Plumber Temple Terrace FL is the local name of H.I.P. Home Service & Drain, est. 2013. Tim owns the company and works as lead technician, and the crew answers calls from Temple Terrace, north Tampa, the USF area, Carrollwood and out toward Seffner and Brandon.
Why Temple Terrace Plumbing Is Its Own Job
The city began as a 1920s golf-course community and became its own municipality in 1925. It still operates its own water and sewer utility, while the neighbors around it are served by Hillsborough County or Tampa. That matters when something breaks, because whose pipe is leaking decides who you phone.
The housing stock tells the rest. Out of roughly 12,000 units, about 2,400 date from the 1950s and 1960s and more than 6,000 from the 1970s and 1980s. About half the households rent, so a good share of our calls come from landlords and property owners who live somewhere else. The city’s own water master plan puts hardness above 300 mg/L, and heaters feel it. We read these as tendencies and confirm what is actually in your house.
What We Take On, and What We Pass On
The work covers emergency repairs, plumbing repairs, installation, leak detection, water heater repair and replacement, PEX repiping and drain cleaning with hydro jetting. We do not do gas lines, septic tanks, wells, irrigation or pool plumbing, and we do not excavate or line sewer pipe. When a job belongs to another trade or to the utility, we say so on the phone.
What You Get in Writing
- Same-day visits whenever the schedule allows, and 24/7 emergency dispatch.
- A written price before work begins, free of charge and honored for 30 days.
- A beaten quote: bring a licensed competitor’s written estimate and we go under it.
- A second-opinion nudge on anything above about $1,500.
- A 100% satisfaction guarantee, so if something is off after we leave, we come back.
Repair First, Replace When It Is Honest
A single failed cartridge, flapper, thermostat or anode rod on sound equipment is a modest repair, and we recommend it. A tank leaking through its shell is a replacement. Several pinholes across one house call for a different conversation than one bad joint. The cost guide prints the ranges, and the older-homes guide shows when a repair is enough and when a repipe earns its price.

Tim owns H.I.P. Home Service & Drain and works as lead technician. Plumber Temple Terrace FL is the name used for calls from Temple Terrace and the neighborhoods around it, and the same crew covers other parts of Hillsborough County.
We do not promise that. The City of Temple Terrace’s pages do not list a permit rule for those two jobs, so the answer comes from City Building & Permitting at 813-506-6470. We raise the question while writing the estimate, before any work begins.
There is no walk-in shop. This is mobile service: the call, text or form comes first and the estimate happens in your house. The site lists Temple Terrace, FL 33617 as the service base and shows no street address.
